Focus on what makes you ‘you’ as the autumn approaches

October has begun and along with this the approach to the end of 2024. With Halloween at the end of the month (I am sure we will not resist creating an appropriate blog!), it really is quite spooky how this year has disappeared so quickly. The team at our Bramley centre has been busy throughout the past months, offering our range of client care services, including physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage and reflexology, along with nutritional expertise. All designed to help with your overall wellbeing.

Physiotherapy is certainly integral to your wellbeing, and not just from a physical point of view. Yes, you might have an ache or pain somewhere, and physiotherapy is designed to relieve this; however, this is only the start of the journey. The knock-on effect on your mental health can be surprising and rewarding, as freedom from pain allows you to live your life more fully through increased mobility.

Our services focus on what makes you ‘you’, with a holistic view of your lifestyle, your ambitions and your health looking forward. Time pressures and lifestyle may of course have a bearing on your objectives.

The need for physiotherapy care can also vary dependent on the age of the client and this can include paediatric care (those aged 9 and above for service through Life Made Simple). We understand that physiotherapy may not be the only need for clients looking to improve their health and wellbeing and this is why we can work with other professionals to make sure that you get the treatment you need. As suggested in the title of this blog, wellbeing comes in many forms, and we are pleased to be able to refer clients, where agreed, to other well-established local specialists where appropriate, such as fitness instructors.

As the nights get longer, the weather gets naturally damper and temperatures reduce, and it is not uncommon to feel more aches and pains, perhaps as activity levels reduce and we remain indoors. It’s a good time to think about how you can keep active despite the weather, and we can plan a tailored programme of therapeutic exercises and stretches to maintain your mobility and ease any stiffness or discomfort. For those who want to take their exercise to a new level, we can recommend a fitness instructor who will work with you, and with us, to develop a fitness regime suited to your physical capabilities and your health and lifestyle goals.
